Rosie

Tomorrow is the 2nd Feast Day of our Jobie, the handsome black and white soul above, cuddling his favorite being, Rosie. Rosie, who has tolerated life and us humans for 2 years without her best friend...

Rosie, our sweet, grouchy, Rosie, passed away last night at age 18. It was at home and it was fast. For that, we are grateful.

I imagine that they are napping together, once again and forever, in the warm sun of Sparkle Pond, and Rosie is waking occasionally to complain about something and bathe her new Sparkle Suit.

My heart goes out to you and Marcy.

I find comfort in imagining my Goldie kitty and her buddy Coors as being together again.

Aw. I figured it was coming soon - so glad it was peaceful and at home with the people she loved.

My condolences to you. The loss of a pet is so hard. Rosie sounds like a wonderful, magical creature and I wish her sweetness and light in this new phase of her journey.

Prayers, hugs and good wishes to you and Marcy - there is no doubt in my mind that Rosie's Sparkle Suit is divine and magical, just like her.

Oh, Christine, I an SO sorry! I know that even as prepared as you and Marcy were, your hearts are breaking. The hole these dear creatures leave behind is sometimes beyond consolation, and yet how small and cramped our lives would be without them and the opportunity they so uncomplicatedly give us to love and be loved without limit. My tears, my thoughts are with you. I lost my sweet beloved Simon not that long ago -- he was the spitting image of your Toby -- and the night of the day he passed into HIS Sparkle Suit, I went outside and asked him to let me know he was all right. Within a heartbeat, three falling stars shot past. All is well. He, and your Rosie, are not that far away.
Hugs to both you and Marcy and the rest of your little family.

Rosie has had a blessed and charmed life, and now she gets to hang with her favourite buddy again. What more could a cat ask for?

Hugs for you and Marcy. It is always hard to lose a loved one. xo

I just read this. We've been job hunting and moving for the last month and I haven't been keeping up with my blog reading. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember the kind words you gave me when my sweet kitty lost her Fur Suit in October 09. I've read the posts since this one was written and can see how beautifully you and Marcy have dealt with your grief. Rosie (and all of the other beauties you've had and have) are lucky souls to have been taken care of by you two! All the best!
