Fear is My Guide

I have recently discovered something revolutionary:

Fear is my Guide.

Where there is fear, I am to follow. Not run the other way. Not make excuses. Not cower and fold over and under and into my power.

No.  Where there is fear, I am to stand tall, take a deep breath, and walk toward it and through it, claiming a (re)membered part of myself on the other side.

Thank you for this post! I've been thinking about trying something new but fear (and what people will think) has been holding me back! I love the idea of pushing through it and becoming better because of it.

It is nice to know when others have similar struggles. Just knowing that helps.
Fear is something I am struggling with lately in my art making. Had not yet thought about fear in other parts of my life. Maybe once I feel progress with my art,I can confront more.
Also, I sometimes collect quotes.
Here are a couple that I thought might go along with your post:

"Every time we chose safety, we reinforce fear." ~Cheri Huber

"To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom." ~Bertrand Russell

Fear is gripping me these days, gripping so tight that I have nowhere to go but stay caught in its unfriendly embrace.
Let us see if we can become friends.
